Rating: We leave big tips.
We’ve been dining at this restaurant for years—back when it was called Sea Salt Pho and Sushi in the 4S Commons Shopping Center. They’ve since moved to Torrey Highlands Village, and while the location and name have changed, the quality and consistency that keep us coming back remain the same.
This has been our favorite pho spot for quite some time. It’s even surpassed Pho Cadao and Pho Cow Cali for our cravings—even though Cow Cali was Dad’s go-to when he was a kid and a longtime favorite in the community. At the end of the day, we think this place simply serves the better pho.
The kids (ages 8, 5, and 3) always order the kids’ pho—which comes with the option to add extra meat—and they love it so much that we usually end up ordering extra noodles after they finish. Dad usually goes for the #1 pho, the large bowl with everything in it, which is a classic at just about any pho spot.
Another staple here is the egg rolls and spring rolls. Dad tends to stick with the shrimp and pork rolls, though he once tried the tofu rolls and enjoyed those as well. The sushi is also worth mentioning—we often order a few pieces of salmon nigiri along with a Caterpillar Roll and the Hawaiian Crunchy Roll. Everything is consistently fresh and flavorful, and the quality really shows—especially since the owner trained under chefs from Japan in the art of sushi-making.
Overall, we highly recommend this spot. We usually find ourselves coming back every other Wednesday—our little “mini weekend,” since, after all, Wednesdays start with a W.
